In the scorching summer of 2003 a dog named Fox wandered through the Fortezza Albornoz in Urbino, during the Frequeze Disturbate music festival.
A hot and boring afternoon at the camping site, Ambra, Gecco and me started to play a guessing game where one of us thought about something and the others had to find out what that thing was, asking questions whose answers could only be "yes" or "no".
The first two questions of every match inevitably ended to be: "È vivo? È Fox?" ("Is it alive? Is it Fox?") Hence the name.

The rules are pretty simple.

• Together you decide who's the one who has to start thinking about something.
• There is no limit to what Fox can be. Even simple things are often difficult to guess!
• The questions that can be asked can only have two answers. (You can't ask "What colour is it?", but you can ask "Is it single coloured?", "Is it blue?", "Is it green?")
• There are no turns to ask questions. Everyone can ask questions at any moment. Anyone can join the game at any moment.
• The first to guess Fox has to think to something new, to continue the game on and on and on and on and...

Nella torrida estate del 2003 un cane di nome Fox era solito gironzolare per la Fortezza Albornoz di Urbino, durante il rinomato festival Frequeze Disturbate.
In un pomeriggio di caldo e di noia al campeggio, Ambra, Gecco ed io iniziammo a giocare ad indovinare ciò che uno di noi aveva pensato, ponendo domande le cui risposte potevano essere solamente "sì" o "no".
Le prime due domande di ogni partita inevitabilmente finivano per essere: "È vivo? È Fox?" (non necessariamente in questo ordine). Per questo motivo al gioco fu affibbiato questo nome.

Le regole sono oltremodo semplici.

• Assieme si decide chi dovrà iniziare a pensare a qualcosa. Costui penserà ad una cosa.
• Non ci sono limiti a cosa Fox possa essere. Spesso anche cose semplici sono difficili da indovinare!
• Le domande che possono essere poste devono necessariamente poter prevedere solo due risposte. (Non vale chiedere "Di che colore è?", ma è lecito chiedere "È di un solo colore?", "È bianco?", "È marrone?" )
• Non ci sono turni per fare le domande. Tutti le possono fare in ogni momento. Chiunque si può unire al gioco in ogni momento.
• Il primo che riesce ad indovinare è designato a proseguire il gioco pensando ad un nuovo Fox.
